Please Read This…

John 20:31 — These words are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
Dear friends, please read this.
I know you get many emails in your inbox every day. Texts. Ads. Our lives are saturated with voices that want our attention.
Still read this. Please.
I am not asking this because I want something from you. I am asking because I want you to have something that is incredibly special.
I am asking because you need what I have to say.
God loves you. Your Maker holds you incredibly dear.
You haven’t earned it or deserved it. In fact, if you thought about all your sins, you probably would feel like you should hide in shame from someone who knows about every one of them. But God still loves you.
He loves you so much that He became one of us humans. He was born of the virgin Mary and named Jesus. God took on our flesh for the purpose of being our Promised Savior — our Messiah. Jesus, Son of God and Mary’s Son, died to suffer the shame of our sins. Then he rose from the grave to be the evidence that our shame is gone and we have been given the gift of a new and eternal life with God in heaven.
Please read these words I just wrote because God wants you to make Jesus and what he has done for you the foundation for your whole life. God calls you to believe this good news.
When you sin, read these words. Repent and believe Jesus has removed from you the guilt and shame of your sins.
And as you live, read these words and remember you have someone to live for. Live your life full of a living faith and love for the one, true God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
When life is full of trouble and sorrow, read these words and remember that God loves you and has something incredible in store for you. He will get you there. Trust in Him.
I intend to write you again next week. And I hope you will again read the words I write. Because every week we need to hear about Jesus, the Son of God, our Savior, and the life we have in His name.
Peace in Jesus,
Pastor John Gensmer
